Yarn Along: Set and Short Novel

I finished a little headband/hand warmer gift set for an early spring birthday. I'm hoping it's just enough to keep the chill out. Both were fun knits. They are the same yarn but I can't seem to get the camera to show that. Purples are tricky!

I read the Red Badge of Courage. It has been on my list for a while. It is very well written book about a character that I did not find endearing. It was really strange to see the civil war from inside of a soldier's head. It all seemed so messy and confusing, but then again, I really don't understand the inner workings of war. I found it fascinating tough, and I am glad that I read it.

I will be sharing this at Small Things and Frontier Dreams.

  1. Nice set, still needful even in spring

  2. Hello Heather, I'm impressed that you read _The Red Badge of Courage_. I don't ever remember reading it, though I seem to think that it was required in junior high or high school. I do remember reading Johnny Tremaine (have you ever read that one?) but I think now after _Pride and Prejudice_ I'll pick up Red Badge and Tremaine . . Your headband/handwarmers are beautiful. Purples and reds are always difficult to catch on camera :)

  3. crazy how different those purples look!!!! I liked them both...never would have guessed though that they were the same!!!

I'd love to hear from you!
