Yarn Along: Yokes and Yarn Crafts

I have pieced thogether the body and sleeves of the little sweater that I am making for my daughter and started the yoke! This is my first bottom up yoke sweater and I designed the cable pattern for the yoke myself. I can already tell that it isn't going to work exactly as I planned it to but I am hoping that it will still look good. Designing cables is always a well worth itadventure!

A good friend of mine very generously gave me the needlework book in the picture and I love it! It lays out all of the different kinds of needlework very clearly, has great instructions, and a sample project for each kind. Love it!

I also just finished reading Mr. Blue by Myles Connolly and I loved it. It was written in the twenties as a kind of modern take on St. Francis. It is full of spirit and beautifully written. A pleasure to read for those who love language and a good story!

I will be sharing this on Small Things and Frontier Dreams.

  1. Looks like a wonderful book, but the project makes me want to pick up my knitting needles again!

I'd love to hear from you!
