We're nearing the end of our unpacking here and I am so thankful! After I get the last room unpacked, it's on to decorating and fine tuning. The house that we are living in is just perfect for our family. I even get my own space, full of sunlight, for writing and crafting!
Now that we live in the north again, autmn is just around the corner. I brought my yarn stash with me and boy do I have plans for it! In additon to the lace blanket that I have been working on, I have another layette on thedocket for my new niece/nephew. For my three children, I need to make them each: a sweater, a few pairs of socks, hats, and mittens. And then there were those Christmas presents that I wanted to knit...
I have a big stash so I should be able to fuel most of that knitting, and I'm looking forward to it!
After pausing novel reading for a few weeks, I have gotten back into it. I resumed with Sylvia's Lovers by Elizabeth Gaskell. I am glad that I read it, it was good though it was a bit dramatic. I'm not sure if it wasn't a tad bit too dramatic. She writes good characters, flawed, very human, and sometimes hard to love. The book is about love and marriage and I'm still chewing on her points.
Hopefully I'll have something new on the needles next week!
I am sharing this on Small Things.
