Yarn Along: Finishing Up!

I did a lot of finishing this week. In addition to the little bonnet that I made, I finished the wide brimmed sunhat and made two simple green hats as a gift for someone who needs them. I hope to spruce up the sunhat and bonnet patterns and post them for free soon. I only did a few rows on the fair isle hand warmers and with all of my finishing done, it's time to focus on them!

This week I read Shirley, by Charlotte Bronte. It is often compared to North & South, which I read last week. I am glad that I read Shirley and enjoyed the comparison but I have to say that North & South is my favorite by far. The thing that really got me about Shirley, was that she kind of drops the hero and heroine that she starts out with in favor of another half way through the novel. When she returns to them to tie things up with the originals, it was hard for me to really believe the ending because I hadn't spent enough time with the original hero after he changed. But it was still well worth the read.

I hope that everyone is enjoying the spring!

I will be sharing this on Small Things and Frontier Dreams.
